Football Touchdown Stand ‘n Stuff Soft Tacos with Guacamole

Football Touchdown Stand ‘n Stuff Soft Tacos with Guacamole

Football season is right around the corner! Instead of making finger foods for your party, I say let’s make a hand food. Yep, it’s a new thing I am inventing. No more finger foods, give me a big hearty hand food! These would work great for a #SummerFiesta also!

Head out to Publix and pick up what you need. While I was there at first I was thinking I would make the guacamole from scratch.

Football Touchdown Stand 'n Stuff Soft Tacos with Guacamole

Then to my wonderful surprise I saw that Old El Paso had a guacamole  seasoning mix. So, I picked it up and put back the limes and cilantro.  🙂 I also grabbed the toppings I wanted while I was there….cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Football Touchdown Stand 'n Stuff Soft Tacos with Guacamole

What you need:

Old El Paso Traditional Refried Beans
Old El Paso Guacomola Mix
Old El Paso Stand ‘n Stuff Soft Tortillas
Old El Paso Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit
Old El Paso Taco Seasoning Mix
Old El Paso Chopped Green Chiles
2lbs Hamburger Meat
2 Fresh Avocados ~ I like the brand ‘Avocados from Mexico’
Toppings: Lettuce, tomato, cheese

If you have not seen the Old El Paso Taco Boats you need to check them out! They are awesome – easy to fill, hold and eat!

Before you go shopping grab this coupon for a $1.00 off any 3 Old El Paso products at Publix!

Set the stage ~ Get all your toppings ready for everyone to easily super fast make their grab and go taco. No-one is going to want to miss a play!
Football Touchdown Stand 'n Stuff Soft Tacos with GuacamoleIf you have have never bought advocates before you need to know you want the soft advocates. If they are not soft you might be waiting a few days for them to ripen.
Avocados From Mexico Recipes

Making the Guacamole is super easy!!! Cut open the avocados then spoon out the avocado. Mash and mix in the seasoning mix. Refrigerate 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend. IMPORTANT: Do not throw away the pits!!!
Avocados From Mexico Recipes
Why you might ask? On the back of the Old El Paso seasoning pack is a wonderful tip on how to keep your guacamole green. If you have ever made guacamole before you are very aware it can turn brown fast! So, you place the avocado pit into the guacamole and press plastic wrap onto the surface to help eliminate air contact.
Avocados From Mexico Recipes
Now it time to have some fun!

Follow the directions on the Old El Paso taco seasoning box to create your meat mix. I always like to buy the Crunchy Kit {why because someone always wants crunchy} and an extra pack of seasoning. Using the seasoning mix from the kit and the extra with 2 lbs of meat, I am sure to have enough.
Football Touchdown Stand 'n Stuff Soft Tacos with Guacamole
Once you have prepared the hard taco shells and the soft tortillas you are ready to go!

Football Touchdown Stand 'n Stuff Soft Tacos with Guacamole
I like to put in a layer of refried beans, then meat, sauce {included in the kit}, green chilies, cheese, lettuce, tomato and then top it all off with our guacamole! Awesomeness! Grab and go!

I would love to try these for our family movie night. They look and sound so yummy. I have never had a taco bar or tried the Stand n’ Stuff tortillas before.

I love Old El Paso tacos and seasoning! But, this is actually the first I’ve heard of Guacamole Seasoning mix!!! That would be awesome! Instead of having to buy the ingredients separately!

I love this idea. I have monthly potlucks and I am always looking for something new to serve up. The food and the conversation are usually my monthly highlight.

Yum! Please stick one of those tacos in an envelope and send it to me! Wait, I’m not sure if the Post Office would like that…

    God bless,

My family and I have loved El Paso brand products for a long time. I remember back when we first tried their enchilada kit! Your recipe sounds really appetizing. I have not tried their Stand’n Stuff tortillas yet but I plan on it. My mom makes the world’s best guacamole, but I am looking forward to trying this version.

Looks like a delicious recipe. I’d substitute the taco meat for better cuts of meat, but that’s it. I don’t need to add sour cream or cheese to mine if I don’t want to. Thanks.
