DIY Decorative Odor Absorbing Floral Vase &
More Ways to Use Cat Litter

Do you have a nosey rosey in your family? Our’s is our cat. She is the nosiest little thing but, so sweet. Well, to me anyway. She has her moments with everyone else in our family but, I can hardly get her to leave my side. I have to admit though, I love being her favorite.

Talking Cat

She is such a talker!! Especially, in the morning time. She is a happy little camper in the morning when everyone is waking up. It’s like she has been waiting all night to say good morning. We adopted her from our local animal shelter a few years ago. That’s why I am happy to say because of this promotion I was able to donate $100 to our local Animal Shelter.

SAMs Fresh Step

Cat litter is not just for cat litter boxes. I like to use Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze because it has the odor controlling power of Febreze and a fresh lemongrass scent.  You can deodorize more than just your litter box!

Alternative Ways to Use Cat Litter

You don’t want to spray Febreze directly into your refrigerator so, place a little Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze in a small container in the back of your refrigerator. Place a small container in the bottom of your trash cans while you are at it. This cat litter is wonderful at absorbing odors!

Using a container you can close tight, add enough litter to cover the bottom of the box; about a half inch. Place on top of the litter just about anything you want to remove odors from; like stinky shoes or a musky book.

Fresh Step Shoes in Box

This is a safe way to remove musk and/or moisture. Seal up tight whatever you choose with a little cat litter in the bottom for a day or two.
Fresh Step Book

In fact, Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze includes Borate Technology for superior ammonia control and acts as a antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria. Bet you didn’t know that, did you?

Here is Nosey Rosey again, as I am trying to set up for a picture….

Nosey Rosey Again

I love her so much!

How often would you need to change out the litter in the vase? Weekly? Monthly?

I didn’t realize there were so many uses for Kitty litter. I don’t have a Cat but I do buy it for the garage floor grease cleanups.

Never thought of cat litter for these…very cool and innovative! I like where you talked about putting Febreze in the back of the fridge. I’m always looking for odor eaters and these are easy and different.

I love the way you used it with the vase who would guess what it is! I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m thinking of using cat litter to dry up a spot in the basement where a leak caused a puddle on the floor.
