Halloween Pumpkin Patch Handprint Craft

By: Tina Date: October 10, 2015 28 Comments

Here is an easy handprint Halloween Pumpkin Patch craft to do with your toddler or preschool age child. When I taught kindergarten, we use to make these each year in October. The kids have a blast because they think they are getting messy. It’s really no mess! They just wash their hands afterwards. This can be a great bonding time for you and your child! Make it a fun family activity!

What you need:
Washable paints – orange and brown colors
Paper – color choice can be yours
Foam paint brushes
Hands
Happy child to participate 🙂

Paint the palm of the hand orange and the thumb brown. Don’t be afraid of the mess….as long as you followed the directions and used washable paint. hehe

Place their hand flat on the paper. Add a little more paint each time to get a good print.

Then switch hands and overlap the thumb on each print they did using their first hand.

Then you have a Handprint Halloween Pumpkin Patch

After the paint dries, you can have them use crayons to color grass and other background images.

I love this! I had pinned a red hand print for child and adult on Valentine’s Day and so many had repinned it since they liked it too. So simple and “hand” made!
