Energize Your Kids Breakfast for Your Back to School Routine
With the kids heading back to school after the holiday break, the last thing I want is to be rushed in the morning!! We are all dragging a bit since sleeping late during the break. We all got used to staying up just a little later and not having to wake up to an alarm clock. I almost think, getting back on a schedule after Christmas break is harder than starting the new school year. At the beginning of the year, everyone is excited. You all have that rush of excitement. After the holiday break, well… there is nothing new! The kids know exactly what they are going back to – school!
To make up for this lack of enthusiasm, I have to make the mornings run as smoothly as possible. Providing them with a delicious energizing easy breakfast is first on my list! They love eating it and I love how simple it is to make! And of course, I like to save money when I can! Peanut Butter & Jelly Overnight Oats – Recipe
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 3/4 Tbsp flax seeds
- 2 Tbsp. Jif Peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 1 teas. honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 teas. turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. Smucker’s Fruit Spread
Combine oats, almond milk, flax seeds, honey, turmeric, and Jif Peanut Butter into a jar. Stir till mixed well.
Top with Smucker’s Fruit Spread. Place on lid and place in the refrigerator overnight.
In the morning, enjoy!
