St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Door Decoration
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner you can make this super easy Shamrock door decoration for your home or school.
What You Need:
- glitter tulle – color of your choice. You will need at least 2 rolls of the 6 foot rolls.
- hot glue gun & sticks
- scissors
- Shamrock wood cutout
Directions
Pick the color tulle you like. Make sure to get one with glitter. When you are adding the tulle the glitter kind of fills in the missing spots. It gives it a really nice look in the end. Just to let all of you know, at first I thought I wanted to use green and gold but, then towards the end I removed all the gold and just went with green.
Cut the tulle in about 4 inch strips.
Twist the center on each cut to apply a small dab of hot glue and repeat this till your Shamrock is full.
Once you have it all filled you can trim the tulle to make sure the shape of the Shamrock is showing. Just cut along the edges to make it a bit shorter on the sides.
You can use a door wreath hanger to hang your Shamrock or hehe, do what I did. I realized my door wreath hanger was in the attic with my Christmas decorations so, I just hot glued it to my door! Ha! My husband is going to come home and ask how that is hanging there. hehe It’s a glass door so it won’t hurt it but, I don’t recommend this if your door is painted, it might take the paint off.

I like how festive this looks and it makes me feel that spring is on the way. it doesn’t look too difficult either.

That’s a clever idea and could be modified for just about any occasion.

I live in Ireland and over the St Parick’s Day celebrations we always drive past one particular house in a village not too far from us. Every inch of the cottage is covered in green, white & gold! The man who lives there is in his 80s and does it all himself! He decorates his house at Christmas as well and during the summer you can’t see the cottage for all the hanging baskets!

I know that St. Patrick’s Day is over, but this is such a cute wreath I had to comment! I love the simplicity of it, while still being so nice looking! I bet you could do something similar for any Holiday by using different shapes and colors! 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing!
