Extended Stay America Review

Extended Stay America Living Area
We LOVE staying at Extended Stay America hotels while we are traveling. Whenever we travel to MD Anderson in Houston or just on a fun family vacation, Extended Stay America is our first choice. You get spacious rooms for a great price. The images in this post are from two different rooms in an Extended Stay America in Orlando, Florida. We recently stayed there while we visited Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Legoland. The boys absolutely had a wonderful time and we had plenty of room to relax during our down time.
Extended Stay America 2
Each room has a great living room area for you to enjoy. This is so very important to us when we travel. There is nothing more uncomfortable than having to sit in a bed or only have one chair that everyone fights over. At Extended Stay America you have a couch, a recliner, and two roll around desk chairs.
Extended Stay America Divided Room
The rooms remind me of a small studio apartment with a half wall to divide the space. On one half of the room is the kitchen, dining area, and living room. On the other side of the room is the bedroom, closet, dressing area, and washroom.

Extended Stay America TV
Also available are rooms with an actual door to a separate bedroom. This was super comfortable in allowing everyone the privacy we all like so much.
Extended Stay America King Bedroom
If I wanted to, I could have slept in late but, we wore the boys out so much going into parks, I actually had to wake them up each morning!

Every room has a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, a full size sink, dishwasher, microwave and two stove top burners.  When you check in at the front desk, just let them know what you need from their list of supplies.

Extended Stay America Kitchen Items
This makes it so easy to keep Travis on his healthy cancer diet as much as possible and to save money not eating out the entire time we are traveling.

lol Mr. Z gives his approval. 🙂

We were even able to treat the boys with night time treats without having to go out for ice cream.

The bed space is large and gives you the nice cozy feeling of home.

During your downtime you can enjoy the pool.

Also, each Extended Stay America offers laundry rooms.

This makes it easy to pack light because you can wash clothes. This is absolutely wonderful! I really don’t know how my boys can go through so many clothes so fast, but they do!
Extended Stay America Hotel Keys of Hope American Cancer Society
The last, but certainly not the least important detail I would like to let all of you know about, is the Hotel Keys of Hope℠.

If you stay at an Extended Stay America, please make sure to drop your room keys in before you leave.

I have always been weary of staying at any extended stay hotel due to the bad rap that they get. This looks nice though, may be worth it for the price.

My family and I also stayed at the one in Houston in 2013. We were there for medical reasons as well. I have to say, the hotel staff really went above and beyond to make our stay as nice as possible, doing things for us like showing us how to get snacks and use the Internet. Their cook even made me a spinach pizza-for-one. This was one of the nicest hotel stays we have ever had.

I don’t know what impresses me the most — the laundry room or the kitchen appliances. That actually looks larger than a studio apartment I used to live in. Definitely ideal for two adults and two children and it would work great for grandparents wanting to visit their grandkids for a week or two. It’s always difficult for everyone to have family come stay in the guest room for an extended visit plus it would provide a place to bring the grandkids to swim or even have a family meal. So much better than a motel with nothing more than an ice machine at the end of the hall or even a hotel with expensive room service.
