Ladies Swim Cap ~ Protect Your Hair this Summer
Do you like for your hair to get wet while swimming? Most of us who do not like our hair wet use a Ladies Swim Cap to keep our hair dry. Honestly, is is not just the getting wet part that bothers me, the chemicals in the water also harm my hair. I hate paying a lot of money during the summer at the salon only to have a swimming pool or beach day ruin my hair. So, like most women, I like to protect my hair as much as possible.
At the same time I want to look stylish. Really, I am not about to wear a shower cap or one of those huge hats with the large sides!
This is what I normally do to my hair while swimming, the ponytail look. While it is okay my hair still gets wet and twisted while the breeze blows.
I am testing out this swim cap I ordered on Amazon.com. They offer 9 colors including red, green, black, blue, champagne, purple, wine, grey & brown. Listed normally for $39.99 but, marked down right now 10% off making it only $29.99.
PLUS you can take an additional 20% off with Code: SWIM2015
The cap is made of silicone material which I believe is what makes it work so great! There is a slight smell of silicone when you open the package but, it goes away quickly. The cap size is quite large allowing for someone who has a lot of hair plenty of room. The seal of the cap is tight making it waterproof around the edges.
Today is a very bright day. I am so happy to see the sun though. Our temperatures are slowly getting warmer. Almost 80 degrees today!! The weather only needs to get a little warmer and I will be using this swimming cap at the beach or pool very soon!
The cap is comfortable to wear and super fast to put on. You simple slide it on and tuck-in your hair. You can wear it over your ear also to keep water out of your ears.
Not only does it fit great but, I can see using this for more than just swimming. After having my hair styled at the salon I can use this to protect my hair from getting wet while in the bath or shower.

I would never wear a swim cap. I don’t color or chemically treat my hair in any way. Plus, I’m not crazy about the way they look.

I haven’t thought about a swimming cap since high school, but it does make sense that all the chemicals in the pool might damage hair & a dye job. My biggest problem – which this cap has seemed to resolved – is the fitting of all my hair in one.

My mom would love this.. have to tell her.. thanks

I love swim caps. I have long hair that gets frizzy and curly and swimming pools just make it a hot mess. I love to swim so this would be very helpful to me! 🙂
