Switchcrafted: The Story of The Switch Witches of Halloween Book

Extreme Candy Consumption Solution Now Made Easy for Families Across the Nation
Did you know that Americans purchase nearly 600 million pounds of candy a year just for Halloween? Can a more health conscious Halloween become a possibility for American families nationwide? As a mom and the creator of Switchcrafted, Kinsman believes in the holiday’s magic. The proud mother of two young boys struggled to find a solution for the eight pounds of candy they collected while trick-or-treating in 2013. An inspiration on a cross-country flight led to the creation of the Switchcrafted.
Says Kinsman, “Switchcrafted updates a classic holiday tradition and incorporates it into real-life parenting scenarios. Getting my kids involved in the magic of Halloween verses the quest for the biggest bag of candy was my motivation. My own family suffers from allergies like celiac disease and lactose intolerance therefore the majority of candy was off-limits. I needed to find a fun alternative to keep the tradition alive.”
Along with the hardcover book and whimsical Switch Witch toy, Switchcrafted comes with a keepsake box and signature trick-or-treat bag. Parents can also enhance their holiday fun by visiting Switchcrafted.com — a robust website and game app full of healthy Halloween recipes, DIY crafting ideas, candy swap solutions, and school-age appropriate games and activities for parents and teachers.
The 20 page beautifully illustrated hardcover book and 8.5″ Witch doll come in a hard cover box with a Switchcrafted trick or treat bag. The product provides a story and platform for families to start a new Halloween tradition with their children by getting rid of all the sugary Halloween treats and exchanging them for something healthier.and all because the Witches need their candy for fuel (energy, heat, broom fuel). For all children ages 3 and up.

Our kids are grown, but I love seeing the little ones come to our house. We try to give enough to satisfy, but we also want it out of house. I teach kindergarten, and usually the leftovers end up at school. I have started giving it to the ladies in the office since I know my kinder-bears received enough on their own. I love the Switchcraft concept, and know this would be a fun tradition to start in my own classroom.
