Here is a fun Halloween treat to make for your family, school class parties, or your neighborhood trick-or-treaters. Cake Pops decorated as Candy Corn!
Halloween Candy Corn Cake Pops
What you will need:
white cake – Save yourself some time and just use a box cake mix.
icing – Also store bought.
cake pop sticks
chocolate melts – in colors of orange, extra white, and yellow
foam block
foil
Halloween ribbon
treat bags
Start by making your cake according to the box directions. Let the cake cool. Then cut the crust off the cake.
Crumble your cake into a small bowl.
This is when most people mess up cake pops. You want to only put a few tablespoons of icing. The cake is already moist and you are only adding the icing to make it a little sticky. Also, get your hands in there! Using a spoon to mix is just not going to get the job done right.
One you have the cake and icing mixed well. Shape the cake into the same shape as candy corn. Insert the sticks into each cake. Lay them on a cookie sheet and place in the frig for about an hour or two.
Now, you can us a double boiler or microwave the melts. My trick is to use a coffee cup in boiling water. Please note this is not recommended and I am not liable if you burn yourself doing this or injure yourself in any way. It is just my little trick. 🙂 I don’t keep it on the stove. Once the melts are melted I remove the pot from the stove but, the water keeps the melts workable.
Hehe, I am not showing you the mess I made doing this!! It was a trial and error putting the white on the sticks. First, I thought I would dip it all the way down. Uhmmm, NO! One worked the second on I tried broke off into my cup. lol So, I would recommend painting the chocolate on. Â Stick then into the foam board with foil wrapped around to allow to dry.
Once the white has dried you can move forward using orange.
Really don’t worry about make it look smooth.
Once the orange has dried you can easily dip the yellow tips.
There you have them! Halloween Candy Corn Cake Pops!
If you would like to pass them out or need them for a school event. Use treat bags to cover and wrap a bow on.

What a cute idea. These would be a nice trick or treat handout. Well, when I was a kid at least. Things were different then. We knew our neighbors and didn’t drive all over to get candy from trunk or treat and strangers.
This is freaking awesome!! I will be making these next year for sure.
Those are cute. They’d make a nice school treat. Back when I was growing up, treats like this were handed out for trick or treat. Sadly these days the parents probably wouldn’t let the child eat it.
These treats look really good, will have to try these out this Halloween!
It is already that time of year again. Time to start thinking of this, just saw a Halloween store opening up Friday. I am going to use this recipe to make this and thank you for the great idea.
My kids love candy corn. This would be fun for them as I rather not have them eat soo much of this stuff!
The candy corn cake pops are very cute. These would be nice for my kids Halloween party. They look a little difficult to make so I will practice first. I love all the Halloween food ideas.
This would be a great surprise to make for my mom. She absolutely loves candy corn, even all of those different ‘exotic’ varieties. I might even try to recreate them using different flavored of icing. Sounds like a treat you can make and enjoy all year round.
